Babergh Council election, 2011

Elections to Babergh Council will be held in May 2011 to elect members to the council. The Conservative Party will hope to win enough seats to win a majority. The Liberal Democrats will also hope to win enough seats to win a majority. 22 seats are need to win a majority.

In the Babergh Council election, 2007, the Conservatives won 19 seats compared with 16 for the Lib Dems. 8 seats were won by Independent candidates. The Labour Party will hope to regain the seats they lost in 2007. The council has been under no overall control since 1983.
