cities =Loch Ericht (Scottish Gaelic, "Loch Eireachd") is a freshwater
lake (orloch ) on the border betweenPerth and Kinross and the Highlands Council areas ofScotland . TheRiver Ericht flows from the south end of the loch and later entersLoch Rannoch .It is dammed at its southern end and most of the outflow diverted to the power station on Loch Rannoch. It is also dammed at its northern end just 300 yards from the Truim River (a Spey tributary) to protect the village of
Dalwhinnie , and road and rail links.
