John Broadhurst

John Charles Broadhurst SSC is the Bishop of Fulham in the Diocese of London. He has "pastoral care of parishes which are opposed to the Ordination of Women". [The Diocese of London's page on the Bishop of Fulham - http://www.london.anglican.org/BishopOfFulham]

Broadhurst was educated at Owens School in Islington before training for the priesthood at King's College London and St Boniface College in Westminster.

He was ordained deacon in 1966 and priest in 1967. He began his ministry at St Michael at Bowes, progressing through St Augustine's Wembley Park to St Michael's Wood Green Team Ministry. He became Area Dean of Willesden and Edmonton during his time at St Michael's Wood Green.

He was consecrated Bishop of Fulham on 24 September 1996.

Broadhurst is Chairman of Forward in Faith and Vice-Chairman of the Church Union.
