Hacène Lalmas

Hacène Lalmas (born March 12, 1943 in Alger, Algeria) is a former Algerian football player. He played as a midfielder and was nicknamed El Kebch (The Sheep).

Biography

Although he started his career with OM Ruisseau, Lalmas played most of his career for CR Belouizdad and it is with CRB that the midfielder really distinguished himself as one of the top Algerian players of all-time. He led the club to four league titles, three cup titles and three Maghreb Champions Cup titles. He was also an member of the Algeria national team at the time playing alongside the likes of Mustapha Zitouni, Abdelaziz Bentifour, Abderrahmane Boubekeur and Rachid Mekhloufi.

* All-time top scorer in the Algerian league with 150 career goals
* Top scorer of the Algerian league in the 1969/1970 season with 18 goals
* All-time top scorer in the finals of the Algerian Cup with 6 goals in 3 finals
* Voted as the "Best Algerian Player of All Time" by a group of over 350 Algerian football coaches, players and media in 1993 (conducted by newspaper "Ech-Chorouk")
