Mukai Rocks (69°3′S 39°42′E / 69.05°S 39.7°E) is a small cluster of rocks on the coast of Queen Maud Land. The rocks are situated on the east margin of Ongul Sound, opposite East Ongul Island, site of the scientific station of the Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition (JARE), 1957-1962. The name Mukai-iwa, meaning "facing rocks" or "opposite rocks," was given by Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition (JARE) Headquarters in 1972.
