Atriceps Island

Atriceps Island

Atriceps Island (coord|60|47|S|45|9|W|) is the southernmost of the Robertson Islands, lying 3 miles (4.8 km) south of the southeast end of Coronation Island in the South Orkney Islands. Named by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS), following their survey of 1948-49, after the colony of blue-eyed shags ("Phalacrocorax atriceps") nesting on the island.
