The Abel and Mary Nicholson House is where Abel and Mary Nicholson lived in Salem, New Jersey. It is an excellent example of a Delaware Valley patterned brick building. [ [http://www.njht.org/dca/njht/funded/sitedetails/ct-nicholson_house.html NJ Historic Trust] ] The vitrified bricks form geometric designs and highlight the year of construction. [ [http://tps.cr.nps.gov/nhl/detail.cfm?ResourceId=-1163242582&ResourceType=Building NHL Details] ]

The building has not been significantly altered since it was built [ [http://www.nps.gov/nhl/designations/samples/nj/nichols.pdf NHL application] ] and has been receiving grants to help preserve it. [ [http://www.state.nj.us/dep/hpo/3preserve/ncshpo2007.pdf NJ Preservation Grants] ] It was donated to a local preservation organization.
