Haggits Pillar

Haggits Pillar (coord|67|24|S|179|55|W|) is a column of rock (65 m) in the South Pacific Ocean, lying 0.1 miles (0.2 km) west of Scott Island and some 315 miles (500 km) north-northeast of Cape Adare, Victoria Land. Discovered in December 1902 by Captain William R. Colbeck, Royal Navy Reserve, commander of the Morning, relief ship to the "Discovery" expedition, 1901-04, under Scott. The name was used on official charts of the "Discovery" expedition drawn by Lieutenant George F.A. Mulock.
