- Vrahovice
Vrahovice is a village in the
Olomouc Region of theCzech Republic , nearProstějov . It is administrative part of Prostějov. It has around 3800 inhabitants.The village was first mentioned in
1337 . Word "vrah" means enemy in Old Czech. In middle age there was a lots of owners of Vrahovice. Last owners was Seilerns. Between 1950 and 1954 and since 1973 Vrahovice is part of Prostějov. In present there are voices of disjunction.There is a church, St. Bartolomew's, as well as a post office and a few pubs.
The musicians
Zdeněk Tylšar andBedřich Tylšar were born in the village and the linguist Dr.František Kopečný lived there for many years.External links
