Stagecoach in Bedford is the sector of the Stagecoach Group that operates buses in Bedford, Bedfordshire and is the trading name of the United Counties Omnibus company Ltd

There are over six million passengers per year, a passenger increase of eight per cent.

In addition to Bedford, they also operate certain buses to surrounding towns.

To assist the elderly and disabled, some routes have low-floor buses.

Although most routes operate all week, some routes do not operate on Sundays, and some only operate on Sundays. On bank holidays, a Sunday service is operated.

From the 28th October there will be some major changes on the Bedford Town services. The following route numbers and destinations will now apply:

*Route 1 - Bedford Rd, Kempston, Ampthill Rd, Town Centre
*Route 2 - Ampthill Rd, Kempston, Bedford Rd, Town Centre
*Route 3 - Fenlake, Town Centre
*Route 4 - Goldington, Wendover Drive, Town Centre
*Route 5 - Norse Road, Needwood Road, Town Centre
*Route 6 - Shortstown, Harrowden Rd, Town Centre, Brickhill
*Route 7 - Woodside, Town Centre
*Route 8 - Queens Park, Town Centre

Changes to the Bedford routes:

-Current services 1&2 are being split into services 1, 2, 5 and 7 - Route 1&2 will serve Bedford Road, Kempston, and Ampthill Road - Buses will run every 12 minutes on each route and every 15 minutes during peak hours.-Route 5 will serve Needwood Road and Norse Road - This route goes all the way to Elms Farm Industry (early mornings), and will serve Norse Road and Needwood Road in both directions, throughout the day.-Route 7 will serve Woodside - This route will additionally serve Brecon Way but will no longer serve the top end of Putnoe Lane.-Route 3 will still serve Fenlake - This service will no longer serve Nash Road but will serve Accaccia Road and Moulton Avenue instead.-Route 4 will still serve Wendover Drive and Goldington - This route will serve Brookfield Road and no longer serve Harvey Road and Manor Road.-Route 6 will still serve Harrowden Road, Shortstown and Brickhill - There will be minor timetable changes on this route.-Route 8 will still serve Queens Park - Additional early morning buses will operate Monday to Friday.
