Swing DJ Hall of Fame

Swing DJ Hall of Fame

The Swing DJ Hall of Fame is an award ("The Wetzel Award") established and sponsored by the AllSwing DJ group in the United States. The Swing DJ Hall of Fame is a tribute to Swing dance DJs who sacrifice untold hours both behind the DJ booth and in advance preparation, often for no compensation other than seeing the pleasure of the dancers. The AllSwing DJ group chose to name the award given to the inductees "The Wetzel Award", in honor of the late DJ Kenny Wetzel. Kenny was the voice and DJ of many swing dance conventions throughout the 1980's and 90's and continuing until his passing in 2000.
