Company History

Synamed's electronic medical record was created by a New York based physician named Paul Kim in 1999. The company introduced its practice management system in 2003. In 2004 Synamed developed a partnership with ScanSoft Dragon Naturally speaking in order to provide speech recognition.cite press release

On March 21, 2008 Synamed announced a new business plan. By changing to an ad sponsored model Synamed will offer its electronic medical and practice management system record software for free.

Over the years Synamed has established a national presence and provides services to 1,763 users from many medical specialties.
