Wilson Gomes [ [http://www.musicexpress.com.br/Artista.asp?Artista=268 MusicExpress ] ] is a Brazilian born jazz musician who specializes in twelve-tone serial music. After focusing on chord-melody, originally developed by Joe Pass , for over fifteen years, Gomes took off on a new trajectory in 2005. Delving into Schoenberg´s and Berg´s serial music theory, Gomes developed his twelve-tone compositions to be played on the guitar. He composes following mathematical equations, permutations and matrices which he then transfers onto his instrument.

Gomes stuides approximately 10 hours per day, every day of the week. Each of his themes requires 4 months of practice and study in order to be properly played. He expects to have mastered improvisation within this twelve note seral style within 9 to ten years.
