Jacobs Island

Jacobs Island (coord|64|48|S|64|1|W|) is a narrow island 0.3 miles (0.5 km) long between Hellerman Rocks and Laggard Island, off the southwest coast of Anvers Island. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lieutenant Commander Paul F. Jacobs, U.S. Navy, Officer-in-Charge of Palmer Station in 1972.
