Jabet Peak (coord|64|49|S|63|28|W|) is a peak, 545 m, which marks the southwest end of the serrate ridge 1 mile (1.6 km) northeast of
Port Lockroy ,Wiencke Island , in thePalmer Archipelago . Probably first sighted in 1898 by theBelgian Antarctic Expedition under Gerlache. First charted by theFrench Antarctic Expedition , 1903-05, under Charcot, who named it forJacques Jabet , "boatswain" of the expedition ship "Francais".
