It specializes in vegetarian, fairly traded, organic, ethical and natural products. It is also one of the largest workers co-operatives in the UK with more than 100 members. It is wholly owned and managed by its workforce.

History

Suma was founded in 1975 by Reg Tayler, a former storekeeper of "Plain Grain". Following expansion from the mid 1990's to the early 2000s Suma settled into their current headquarters in the town of Elland (near Halifax). [ [http://www.suma.co.uk/SumaStory_css.html Suma - A Brief Story] ]

Co-op

Food Recall
