"Я Для Tебя" (Ya Dlya Tyebya (or 'I [Live] For You' in English)) is the second officially released song by Belorussian singer Dmitry Koldun (Дмитрий Колдун). Koldun had achieved fame in both Russia and Belarus for his participation in two Russian reality TV talent shows, similar in style to Pop Idol and after his performance in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song Work Your Magic he became a renowned artist in Eastern Europe.

The song has recently been performed several times live on TV show Miss Belarus 2008.

Performances

In October/November 2007 Koldun was asked to participate in a popular Russian programme and was asked to perform a song as part of the show [ [http://koldundima.ru/ Дмитрий Колдун - Официальный вебсайт ] ] . Koldun had first performed Я Для Tебя on Fabrika Zvezd which proved to be extremely popular and so this song was chosen. Since its broadcast in Russia the video has been generally accepted as the music video for his new song.

In late 2007 Koldun returned to Fabrika to perform as a duet with the new aspiring singers performing Дай Мне Силу as well as Я Для Tебя. This is a common feature of the show as in the same series Serebro (the band to represent Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007) also performed.

Music video

Being primarily made for a television programme the video was fairly low budget and there are only three different scenes. One is Koldun and his band performing on a rooftop, another is of the public below consisting of passers by, police and the press and the other is Koldun walking down the side of the building. The setting is an American-style one with an American-style cafe on ground level and a very 'free' media influence.

The video starts with passers by looking up a building as the songs starts as lightning flashes and thunder is heard. The band is fully equipped (drums, guitar, mike, etc.) and Koldun begins to sing looking blankly downward. Below a journalsit talks to a camera and another man also films the scene, a senior police officer arrives at the scene. The song continues alternating between the two scenes throughout the first scene and chorus.

On the second verse Koldun occasionally looks into the camera while singing and a woman below approaches the building only to be stopped by the police who are now using megaphones in an attempt to communicate with Koldun. Towards the end of the second verse/early chorus Koldun stands on the edge of the building and as the instrumental plays Koldun falls from the building intentionally.

Upon falling the people below gasp, scream, look away but Koldun lands on the side of the building and stands up. He begins to walk down the side of the building and two different angles are shown, one behind Koldun where we see the traffic below and the other is looking at the front Koldun. People gasp and appear shocked as he walks down though the girl (presumably girlfriend) looks on with awe.

The song ends with Koldun and the girl meeting and after a brief pause, the two kiss and the surrounding people applaud.

Charts

The song has seen great successes in Russia just as Work Your Magic had done. His successes has led to the highly publicised making of his upcoming single Царевна.

The song Я Для Tебя has recently (21/4/08) re-entered the Russian charts at #65.
