Remstar Corporation

Remstar is a Canadian media corporation with with operations in broadcasting, production and distribution. The company is based in Montreal, Quebec and was founded in 1998 by brothers Julien and Maxime Rémillard.

Assets

Through its divisions "Remstar Productions" and "Remstar Distribution", the company produces and distributes film and television series throughout Canada and around the world. The company also owns its own music label, "Remstar Interaction".

Remstar also in the sole owner of the Quebec based television network, TQS and all its owned and operated stations. In early 2008, Remstar put in a bid for the network which filed for bankruptcy in 2007. The transaction was approved by the CRTC on June 26, 2008. In early 2008, the company also put in a takeover offer for TQS, a French language television network in Quebec which filed for bankruptcy in 2007. As part of the deal, Remstar will also acquire TQS' five owned and operated stations.
