Klute is a lunar crater on the Moon's far side. It lies to the southeast of the larger Fowler walled-plain, and east of Gadomski crater. Klute is a heavily worn crater with multiple smaller craters along the outer rim. A crater occupies the northwestern interior floor and lies nested against the inner wall. This crater in turn is marked by a pair of smaller craters along its southern rim. The remainder of the floor is an uneven plain marked with several small, eroded craterlets. This crater was named after Dr. Daniel Klute, a scientist who helped with the Saturn V rocket mission before he died in 1964.
