Virgo-centric flow

Virgo-centric flow

The Virgo-centric flow is a movement of galaxies caused by the big masses of the galaxies at the center of the Virgo Supercluster. The gravitational pull of these galaxies is so large that it opposes the cosmic expansion. The speeds of the galaxies inside this Galactic Supercluster are 100 … 400 km/s towards the center of the Virgo Cluster.
