Ramathibodi Hospital

Ramathibodi Hospital is a university hospital in Bangkok, Thailand.

Faculty of Medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital is the fourth oldest faculty of medicine in Thailand. It was approved in August 1964 under the Second National Economic and Social Development Plan (1967-1971), when medical demand saw the Thai government seek to increase the number of doctors and nurses in the country. The faculty received major funding from the Thai government and supporting grant from the Rockefeller Foundation during its foundation. Construction was started in September 1965 and initiated in 1969, opening on May 3 1969. It is one of Thailand leading medical school in term of teaching, research and clinical services. The hospital located on Rama VI road nearby Chitralada Palace. There are 2 main buildings on campus which allow serving 5000 out-patient visits per day with more than 1000 beds for tertiary in-patient service.
