Liquid Todd

(where he hosts weekday afternoons) and Chill (channel 35). He created and currently hosts a new music show called "Zeros+Ones" which airs from 10pm-Midnight Saturday nights on Left of Center (channel 26) and is the host of "Paul Oakenfold: Perfecto on Tour" on Area 33"'.

Todd previously hosted the long-running "Solid State" show on 92.3 K-Rock (WXRK) and the short-lived "Altered State" show on 103.5 WKTU. "Solid State" aired Saturday nights on K-Rock from 1997-2005 and ended when the station shifted formats to "Pure Rock" in April 2005. (WXRK flipped to talk/rock hybrid Free FM in January, 2006 and changed its call letters to WFNY-FM.)

History

"Liquid" Todd Wilkinson started his radio career as an intern at WDRE on Long Island. His first full-time job was at "Channel Z" (WCHZ-FM) in Augusta, Georgia in 1992 where he served at Production Director for less than a year before moving up to Boston to be the Creative Director at 101.7 WFNX. At WFNX, DJ Todd became Liquid Todd and launched "Spin Cycle" - a live mixshow broadcast from club Axis . Todd was promoted from Creative Director to Assistant Program Director, and served as the station's Acting Program Director before leaving the company in early 1997.

On April 7, 1997 Liquid Todd launched "Solid State" on K-Rock. The show became internationally known as a trailblazing program that featured cutting-edge electronic music. In 2002 Todd won "Best Radio DJ" at the Dancestar American Dance Music Awards in Miami. His second DJ mix CD, "Solid State" (2002, EMI) was also nominated for "Best Compilation" in the "Dancestar World Dance Music Awards" in London.

In May 2005 Todd and co-host "Steve "El" Covino" launched the successor to "Solid State" when "Altered State" debuted Memorial Day Weekend on 103.5 WKTU in New York. "Altered State" was well-received but was cancelled - along with most of the Friday and Saturday night mixshows - when the station stopped playing new music and adopted a "classic dance" format in October 2006.

Liquid Todd has performed live all over the world and frequently tours with DJ Paul Oakenfold in North America and has done remixes and produced original music in addition at various times in his career.
