Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway . It serves the small village ofEmbsay inNorth Yorkshire . The station is the other terminus on the railway and was re-opened in 1979. The station was brought back to its former LMS glory.History
The original station building was constructed in 1888 by the
Midland Railway and was modernised by the LMS, and closed as part of theBeeching Axe in 1965. The station was re-opened by the Yorkshire Dales Railway (Embsay Railway) in 1979. It was brought back to its former glory in the days of the LMS.In December 2004,
Emmerdale used the station for the location of Hotten station.On the 6th February 2008, a new signal box arrived, an original from 1892 (
