Concern Komiavia, later GAP Komiavia or Komiavia State Air Enterprise ( _ru. Комиавиа) is a now-defunct airline of
Russia .Concern was founded in
1991 by O. G. Chernov. [ru icon [http://www.kompass-komi.ru/pages/komicani/inform1.htm History of Komi] ] In1991 Komiavia operated more than 320 airplanes and helicopters. Operated a fleet ofMil Mi-8 T,Mil Mi-10 K and a number of civil airplanes.Concern existed up to august
1992 . After it's decline the aviaenterprizes of Komi starts to declare independence from the State.In December
1994 a GAP Komiavia was founded by Chernov (December 1994 - February 1997, Chief Director).Komiavia faded with the rise of UTAir [ru icon [http://zhurnal.lib.ru/i/iwanow_dmitrij_aleksandrowich/nteravia.shtml Dmitri Ivanov. Aviation dying but not surrenderring] at Maxim Moskow's Zhurnal Samizdat] .
In April
1997 a "OJSCKomiinteravia " was founded on the basis of Komiavia by M. V. Kutuzov.GAP Komiavia increases losses and finally went
bankrupt .Company was transferred to the newly created (August of
1997 ) GAP Komiaviatrans (or Komiaviatrans State Air Enterprise), based inSyktyvkar , Komi.In May
1998 OJSC Komiinteravia reorganized by merging with Syktyvkar subsidiary of GAP Komiavia and takes the air service ofKomi .It operatesTu-134 ,An-24 ,Yak-40 .References
