Chandler Chandler is the former pastor of East Waynesville Baptist Church who resigned after receiving national attention for expelling nine members of his church for supporting Democratic candidate John F. Kerry in the 2004 United States presidential election.[1][2]
At the time of the expulsion, Chandler was studying for his master's degree in divinity at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
