Richard H. Neiman

Richard H. Neiman is the 43rd Superintendent of Banking for the State of New York. As such, he serves as the head of the New York State Department of Banking. He was appointed by Governor of New York Eliot Spitzer in February of 2007.

Neiman received his bachelors degree from American University, and a juris doctor from the Emory University School of Law. He began his career as a lawyer in the New York State Comptroller's office, and then entered the private sector, serving in a variety of capacities including Vice President of Citicorp, Director of Regulatory Services at Price Waterhouse, Executive Vice President of TD Waterhouse, and Chairman and CEO of TD Bank.
