History
The 101st Rescue Squadron was activated in
2004 in a reorganization of combat rescue wings within theUnited States Air Force . The creation of the 101 RQS allowed combat rescue assets to have separate squadrons flying one type of aircraft. The 101 RQS flies theHH-60 Pave Hawk.Assignments
