March 3 ,1980 ) is a computer game programmer. He attendedDartmouth College Fact|date=February 2008 and came close to graduating before taking a job at Ion Storm Austin to work on theDeus Ex and Thiefcomputer games there.A published writer for
Game Developer Magazine , Sharp has contributed articles on higher-order surface representations, including Bézier patches, Subdivision Surfaces, and Implicit Surfaces. In addition, he is a regular presenter at theGame Developers Conference , where he holds a record of being the youngest person ever to give a talk.Sharp has participated in each of the
Indie Game Jam s, including his contribution of a game based onyoga in 2004.He recently quit working on Will Wright's Spore game, and now resides in
