Goskomtrud

Goskomtrud ( _ru. Госкомтруд) was the State Committee for Labour and Social Problems in the former Soviet Union. It dealt with labour relations and wage issues. The Committee which formally belonged to the Council of Ministers of the USSR was created in 1955 by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR May 24, 1955. It was abolished in 1991, in the wake of the collapse of the Soviet Union.
