Primary State Highway 21, was a highway in the state of Washington, U.S.A., from 1937 to 1964. PSH 21's route extended from Kingston in the north, to PSH 9 in the south.
Later in 1964, PSH 21 from Kingston to the Hood Canal Bridge became SR 104's western portion and PSH 21 from Hood Canal to Belfair became part of SR 3 (the last 34.93 miles of SR 3) and from SR 3 to US 101, the last segment became SR 106.
Branches
PSH 21 had only three unnamed branches.
Unnamed branch 1
PSH 21¹ started at PSH 21 in Bremerton and went east to the Bremerton Ferry Terminal. Before its creation in 1961, the highway was SSH 21B. In 1964, the highway became SR 304 and is still holding the designation.
Unnamed branch 2
PSH 21² started at PSH 21¹ in Keyport and went west to PSH 21. It was created in 1937 and replaced by SR 303 in 1964. SR 303 became SR 308 in 1971.
Unnamed branch 3
PSH 21³ started at PSH 21 and went south to the Lofall Ferry Terminal serving as the connector to a ferry across the Hood Canal. In the 1960's when the Hood Canal Bridge was completed, the branch was dropped from the system and since then has never been part of the state highway system.
