Most of Richardson's career was with theBuffalo Bisons (1879-85). He batted and threw right-handed.Born , Richardson played every position at some point, but was known for his play at second base with Buffalo when he was a member of the "Big Four," a star infield that the
Detroit Wolverines purchased from the Bisons for 7000dollar s. They won Detroit theNational League pennant and theWorld Series in 1887. Other members of the "Big Four" includedDan Brouthers ,Jack Rowe , andDeacon White .Richardson's best season probably came in 1890 with the
