Pokrov (town)

Pokrov ( _ru. Покров) is a town in Vladimir Oblast, Russia, located km to mi|5 to the north of the left bank of the Klyazma River (Oka's tributary), km to mi|82 west of Vladimir. Population: ru-census2002|15,920|; su-census1989|15,988|; 2,925 (1897).

It was established in the 17th century as a monastery village and was granted town rights in 1778.
