Jovita Moore is an

She currently anchors the daily newscast ofWSB-TV inAtlanta , Georgia from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and also does news reports during the week.Before moving to Atlanta, she worked as weekend anchor/reporter at
WMC-TV inMemphis, Tennessee . She began her career as a reporter atKFSM-TV in Fayetteville,Arkansas in 1990. She joined WSB-TV in 1998. She has served as anchor for the weekend evening news, but moved to daily news stories in March, 2005.She earned a Master's Degree in Journalism from
Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and she also received her "Bachelor of Arts degree", with a major inLiterature , fromBennington College in Bennington,Vermont .Jovita is a past member of the "Atlanta Association of Black Journalists". She is currently an active member of the "Junior League of Atlanta" and a former member of the Board of Directors of the
YWCA of greater Atlanta.She is committed to helping communities around the Atlanta area and she donates her time speaking to school groups, hosting events for the
community , and mentoring students. Jovita also runs a non-profit youth organization called "Live to Prosper".Fact|date=September 2007In 2001, she was awarded one of the highest honors in television news when she received an Emmy for her Outstanding Medical Reporting for her two part series, "Women and Fibroids". The series was awarded "Best Hard Feature" by the "Atlanta Association of Black Journalists".
