Fakhraldien Fuad Gor (born October 23, 1967 in Amman, Jordan) is a Jordanian former athlete who is specialized in the high jump. He is 1.92 meters tall.
Gor, set a National record of 205cm at the age of 19 to be the first Jordanian ever to leap over 200cm, and followed that by several national records and currently his record stands at 222cm since 1991. Competed in several international tournaments including 2 Olympic Games and three world championships, Gor Achieved several titles including winning the Arab championship in 1991, 1997, and the pan Arab games in 1997 and in 1999 sitting a new games record in addition to the gold medal in the west Asian Games held in Tehran in 1997 . He was honored by the late great King Husseins Gold Medal of achievement in 1990 and was chosen as the best athlete in Jordan in the same year as well as 1997 and 1999, and was chosed by Addustour newspaper as the athlete of the century in 2000. He was also decorated with Jordans Medal of Merit in 1999 for winning two consecutive pan Arab games and retired in the same year ending a sport career that included competing with the National teams of Table tennis and Track and field. In 2003 he was recognized by League of the Arab Statesand honored for his sport achievements for Jordan at the headquarters in Cairo.
Proffisional career and social activities Gors professional career is in the legal field where he worked as a lawyer since 1991, and took part in drafting the law for the national sports federations. Gor is also an avid supporter of education and building collective social power by educating women in the middle east and have them taking roles of productivity ,in addition, he has a strong passion toward creating a better environment for Orphans through socializing them into the society which he adopted during serving on the board of directors of Friends Of Orphans organization (F-OO), he also served on several boards of sport organizations where he was the first Jordanian athlete's representative to the National Olympic committee Board of directors and the first Jordanian to be nominated to the International Athletes commission elections held during the Summer Olympic Games in Sydney 2000, also served as a member of board of directors of Jordan athletes commission and head of the cultural committee. After representing Jordan in the wolrd Olympians Associations meetings in Osaka and lausanne in 2003 he took part in creating Jordans first Olympians association and athletes commission and served as secretary General.
Gor lives currently in the United States where he is pursuing higher education he is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist, Personal trainer, and Track and field coach in addition to being certifeid as a Master practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming.
