Exit Interview
The exit interview is an attempt to find out from an employee the actual reasons for his quitting the present organization. It is a device for discovering vital information about the company’s policies or practices and its employee relationship program and is intended to ascertain the employee’s reactions to various facets of his work, such as dissatisfaction with any aspect of his job or the working conditions, or his relationships with his fellow employees or his supervisor.The exit interview is conducted for the following purposes:
1. to ascertain from the employee the real reason for his quitting the present job;2. to give the employee an indication of his future career in the company, with a view to dissuading him from quitting if he is really a desirable employee;3. to create in him the good will towards the company; and4. to check whether he has accomplished all papers and clearances to make sure that he received all that is due him from the Social Security
