Alberto "Beto" Gutierrez

Alberto "Beto" Gutierrez - Author of "A Sentence with the District," Former teacher at San Fernando High School and James Monroe High School. While working at SFHS he filed a law suit against two LAUSD Principals and two Vice Principals in summer of 2006. Beto is currently teaching Chicano Studies at California State University, Northridge. In fall of 2006 he was appointed by the Mayor of the City of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa to the Commission of Children Youth and Their Families. In spring of 2007 he was appointed by City of San Fernando Councilmember Jose Hernandez to the Commission of Recreation and Community Services.
