Overview

"Moishe’s Moving Systems" is a national Moving company started from NYC by Moishe Mana in 1983. They offer services in local & long distance moving, self storage, and mobile storage. Moishe's also has the distinction of being the first "green" moving company on the east coast.

History

Moishe's Moving's inception in 1983 began with one man with one van and grew from there. By 1990, it had become the largest independent moving company in New York City. By 1995, they were the largest in the entire tri-state area. Today, they operate from regional offices across the country with hundreds of employees.

In a widely-reported, New York City "Rags to Riches" story[1], Moishe Mana began his empire as literally a “man with a van.” Today, Moishe’s Moving is a NY institution with Moishe Mana owning a conglomerate of 15 companies including Moishe’s Guarantee Asset Management, Mana Fine Arts, Moishe’s Guarantee Wine Storage, GRM Document Management, Moishe’s Self Storage and Moishe's Mobile Storage.[2]

They have implemented several environmentally sound programs which offer alternate "green" solutions in moving and storage. The Trees for the Future program, Moishe's Box Exchange, Biodegradable boxes, and environmentally friendly trucks are some of the efforts they have made in this direction.

Moishe Mana’s company and story have been featured on NBC’s Today Show, New York Magazine, The Daily News, Newsday, The NY Times, The New York Post, Arsenio Hall Show, Sally Jesse Raphael Show, and Good Day New York. [3]
