Jorge Uliarte

Jorge Uliarte (* August 21, 1962 in Córdoba, Argentina) is conductor [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conducting] of the Berlin Symphonic Orchestra and artistic director of the southernmost classical music festival of the world - the "Festival Internacional de Ushuaia" in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.

* 16 year old Jorge Uliarte made his debut as a pianist at the theatre Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires.
* Winner of the international Ravel-competition of South America
* In 1990 he founded the "Pan-American Youth-Orchestra" based in Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires.
* In 1991 Jorge Uliarte met master Sir Georg Solti in London who became aware of young talented Jorge. Mr. Solti invited Jorge Uliarte to the "Salzburg Festival" to join the master as an assistant. Sir Georg Solti referred to Jorge Uliarte as "one of the greatest talents in the principles of directing an orchestra".
* In 2004 Jorge Uliarte founded the southernmost classical music festival in the world together with Mr. Hernán Roman, Santiago Lanzilotta, Martin Meyer and Margareta Uliarte, which takes place every year and lasts for 14 days in Ushuaia. The Festival is held on Argentine Tierra del Fuego. Furthermore, Jorge Uliarte conducted in Argentina: The Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires, Orquesta Sinfonica de Salta and others.
