cove , 10 miles (16 km) long and 5 miles (8 km) wide, at the east side of the mouth ofSkelton Glacier inVictoria Land . Mapped by theUnited States Geological Survey (USGS) from ground surveys and Navy air photos. Named byAdvisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for CaptainRoy G. Shults ,U.S. Navy , Chief of Staff to the Commander,U.S. Naval Support Force , Antarctica, 1962 and 1963.
