Melmalayanur is located near Gingee, Tamil Nadu, India, 21 km from chetput (Tiruvannamalai District). It is famous for the Goddess Angalaamman. Across from Southern India devotee use to visit.

Lakhs of devotees visit here every newmoon and fullmoon days since it is supposed to be auspicious during these days. But it lacks Medical facilities and hotel facilities. Melmalayanur is assembly constituency which will send representative to the members to the state assembly.

JUNCTION(Avalurpet)

Avalurpet(Town Panchayat) which is 10 km away from Melmalayanur and 22 km away from Thiruvannamali since devotees are came to Avalurpet and then goto Melmalayanur because Avalupet connects NH and STATE HIGHWAY and Many Share Autos are availed for 24 hrs.Devotees also visited familiar 88years old ArulMigu SithaGiri MurgaPeruman ThiruKoil, which is situated top of the small hill and now Started Girivalam on Fullmoon days.[ by http://pravinxkumar.ourtoolbar.com]
