Kongsvoll (or Kongsvold) lies on the
Pilgrim´s Route orold Kings' Road betweenOslo andTrondheim inNorway .King Øystein erected mountain stations along the route that pilgrims followed in visiting the shrine of St. Olav in Trondheim prior to the
Reformation . The stations, where the pilgrims could find food and shelter, included Kongsvoll located on theDriva River inOppdal . Kongsvoll was erected about 1100. It is still an inn today.References
