The European Drift Championship (abbreviated as EDC) is a drifting series held each year throughout the United Kingdom. It was introduced in 2007 following the collapse of the D1 Great Britain series which in turn replaced the Autoglym Drift Championship. The series is run on its third year as part of the GT Battle motorsport events which includes its national Time Attack championship. [EDC 2008 http://www.europeandriftchampionship.eu/index.html]

Unlike previous series, the series enjoys TV coverage on Motors TV since its inception.

2008 also see an introduction of a new Pro-Am series, intending to act as a feeder series to the EDC, the British Drift Championship (BDC), following the collapse of the UKDrift and Eurodrift series, due to poor management.
