co-educational ,non-profit , non-selective privateday school inMuscat, Oman . It was established in 1971, under Royal Charter by his Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said. In 2003 his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales on a visit to the school described it as one of the leading schools in the Middle East, if not the world (Times of Oman , Nov 9th, 2003). During the 2007/2008 academic year, 905 pupils were enrolled at the school with a staff to student ratio of approximately 1 to 20. The school has many facilities such as a primary and senior school library, sports hall, theatre, swimming pool, and five well equipped science laboratories.In 2008 school princiapl Mr. Steve Howland was awarded an MBE, due to educational services and support in the Middle East, clearly outlaying his commitment to education as a whole.
BSM also has two headteachers:
