Worcestershire Way

Worcestershire Way

The Worcestershire Way is a waymarked long-distance footpath in the county of Worcestershire, England.

Distance

Today the Worcestershire Way runs for 49.5 kilometres / (31 mi). (When originally launched back in 1989 it was 77 kilometres / (48 mi) in length).

The Route

The route today is wholly within the county of Worcestershire. (Originally the route used to run partly into Herefordshire). The route and its length were modified in 2004.

Today the route runs broadly north - south through the county from Bewdley, alongside the River Severn then across country to Abberley, south to the Suckley Hills where it follows the River Teme down to the Malvern Hills and terminates in Great Malvern. It can of course be walked in either direction.

It links with the Cotswold Way and the North Worcestershire Path.
