- Raja Badhe
Raja Badhe (1912-1977) was a Marathi poet. He first made his name in Nagpur where his idols were Poet Bobde, Buwa Upadhye (J K Upadhye), and Anandrao Tekade. Later he moved to Mumbai. He worked for radio for some time. He produced a film on
Chhatrapati Shivaji .Many of his songs were recorded and became very famous. When Prakash Pictures approached Savarkar to write songs for their film Raam-Rajya, he advised them to get them written by Raja Badhe.
He died suddenly while visiting his nephew in Delhi. He had never married.
A prominent traffic intersection in Mumbai is named 'Raja Badhe Chowk' after him.
