Justine Thatcher . Molly and Hector tell Archie he is now Laird of Glenbogle, and he stays in Glenbogle for good. During his stay he takes a fancy to local headteacherKatrina Finlay , and vice-versa, but they never seem to realise that they like each other. Archie and Justine split up and housekeeper/chef Lexie gives him and Katrina a push to get together. They do, but Katrina gets a job in London, leaving Archie in Scotland.At the end of Series 2, Archie's position as Laird is threatened by American Joe MacDonald, but Archie beats Joe in the Chieftain's Challenge. Stella Moon , who tries, unsuccessfully, to win Archie's heart (just as Archie realises he loves Lexie).Archie and Lexie get married in Series 4. Archie and his sister, Lizzie, go travel to Nepal to climb a mountain in honour of their father, leaving Lexie as the temporary laird. After the climb, Archie goes to run a vineyard in New Zealand with Lexie, leaving the lairdship of Glenbogle to his half-brother, Paul Bowman.
