ESPN Extreme Games was a game launched exclusively for the
Playstation on November 1995, that featured all the sports included in the SummerX-Games of 1995. The game did not feature events like thehalf pipe in skateboarding, and it was similar to Road Rash, a game published by SCEA.Description
The game featured many different sports, including skateboarding,
roller blading , street luge, andmountain biking . The "tracks" start at one end of a city, and progress along a linear path to another point of the city, and players kick and punch opponents while trying to obtain cash and attain first place. The "tracks" are located in various parts of the world, including Tahoe and San Francisco. The game was available in a large cd jewel case, like that used for the Sega CD games, and was later released in a cd-sized jewel case.The game was subsequently renamed 1Xtreme, with the ESPN logo and company name were removed from its title. Game content referring to ESPN was also removed.
