Patrick Joseph Meehan

Patrick Joseph Meehan (born 28 March 1877) [cite web |url=http://www.leighrayment.com/commons/lcommons2.htm |title=House of Commons constituencies: L, part |work=Leigh Rayment's Peerage pages |accessdate=2008-03-27] was an Irish Parliamentary Party politician. He worked as a solicitor.

He represented Queen's County Leix in the UK House of Commons from 1913 to 1918. He was returned unopposed following the death of his predecessor, his father Patrick Aloysius Meehan.

During his time as an MP he followed his father's policy of calling for land redistribution, which caused some controversy. [ [http://books.google.com/books?id=912xFMoSFXcC&pg=PA81&lpg=PA81&dq=%22patrick+joseph+meehan%22&source=web&ots=eo7w4YT579&sig=dxsUkwDQ5t0-u8WvkJgsKOKqoAw&hl=en] ]

His constituency was abolished at the next general election in 1918.
