Fernando Joanes de Ovando was a Spanish nobleman.

Life

Fernando Joanes de Ovando, was a son of Sancho Fernández de Ovando and wife Infanta Doña Elvira, Lady of Toro. He was the 1st Duke of Limia in Galicia, Vassal of Alfonso VII of León and Castille.

He married and was the father of Pedro Fernández de Ovando. He was also the father of Pelay Fernández de Ovando, el Cautivo, without further notice.
