Sahara India Pariwar is a multi-business conglomerate with diversified business interests that include Finance, Real Estate, Media & Entertainment, Tourism & Hospitality, and Services & Trading.

Under its finance businesses Sahara operates in Parabanking, Life Insurance, Mutual Funds and Home Loans sectors. Sahara has ambitious plans to expand its Life Insurance business aggressively. Sahara Mutual Fund has recently been credited with three remarkable achievements across its diverse equity funds portfolio by a study conducted by fund tracker Lipper, a Reuter company. Its Sahara Infra Fund-Variable Price Growth Option has been ranked fifth globally, Sahara Tax Gain Fund-Growth has been ranked among world’s top 10 equity funds and its Midcap Fund- Growth has been ranked among world’s top 100 equity funds.

Under its real estate business Sahara has developed various commercial as well as residential projects which include premium townships, group housing projects, malls, retail spaces, hospitals, hotels, to name a few. Under its Motion Pictures business, Sahara is one of India’s largest movie production houses in the business of producing, marketing and distribution of motion pictures in Hindi and other regional Indian languages. The division will market, release and distribute around 10 movies in 2008. The division has forward plans to position itself and lead the sector in a studio model similar to what we see in Hollywood. It aims to produce and distribute 25 to 30 movies per yearSahara is also foraying into animation and special effects space. Business Centre
